We need to make decisions and learn from them if we want to thrive. Groups, organizations, businesses, and governments all make decisions constantly. Some decisions are great and some are horrible. All decisions however should be transparent and provide basis to make better decisions.
The decision process can be universally viewed in 3 major steps:
1. Requesting a proposal (RFP-Request For Proposal)
2. Responding to the request
3. Deciding among the responses
Each of these provide challenges and opportunities for improvement. Often this information is never captured and never reviewed.
The tangible cost for lost knowledge is time and money. As well, there is an intangible cost of mistrust in the process by stakeholders.
